Origami
I fold origami as a hobby, and I have designed a few of my own models. My submissions for the OrigamiUSA Origami by Children exhibition were selected annually from 2005–2010. I have used my origami skills for everything from making gifts for friends and family to founding and running a small nonprofit enterprise, Hearbeats for Kids, from 2006–2011 to raise funds for the NC Children’s Hospital. The research that I did at North Carolina State University combined mechanical, materials, and electrical engineering with folding.
